Today was a long day of skating that ended with me and a buddy completely stripping our decks and cleaning everything.
Took awhile but they really needed it.

In my personal opinion, pin tails are not the way to go with sliding, especially because most pin tails are made by companies like Santa Cruz that will fall apart on you….BUT I know you can get a set of trucks with a wider set up, like 250mm or something.
I’m not really the expert though! I would suggest you take it slow, find or make some gloves and start with carving, then eventually ease into sliding :).
